The Harvard University Free Essays
To be what we are today, we all have our own stories to tell and personal struggles and sacrifices that we make. Some times we are just luck. Different legislators belong to different political parties so do their views, principles and backgrounds. We will write a custom essay sample on The Harvard University or any similar topic only for you Order Now We are going to examine two prominent personalities. First, let us look at senator Barrack Peters who is a son of an African migrant. Senator Barrack was borne forty six years ago in Illions state, his father was an African migrant who had gone in America and acquired an American citizenship then he married an American wife. As a child Barrack went to American school and performed well. He got a scholarship and proceeded to study law at the Harvard University. Where he was actively involved in studentsââ¬â¢ leadership and was the president of student union at the university. After graduating with an honors degree, Barrack worked for an American civil society group. He later joined a famous law firm called Young, Lawrence and associates where he worked in the civil cases department. It is here that he met his wife Julia, who was working with another law firm as a clerk. After working here for ten years he left and formed his own law firm. During the same period he also got involved in politics and decided to join the democrats. His friends and wife encouraged him to go an elective position. During the next election he contested for the senator seat on a democrat ticket and was elected with a land slide. On the other hand, let us examine senator Arnold Sorio, a man who nobody imagined could be a senator. Arnold was borne fifty years ago, he was the sixth in a family of eight, his parents were very poor and his father used to work in a coal mine. The mother washed dishes in a near by hotel to supplement the father. As a child Arnold knew that everything was a struggle, he had to work as child assisting the mother in her duties at the hotel and at the same time attend school. So he went joined high school, he had to take part time jobs to pay fees as his parents could not afford to pay him. He managed to finish and joined college. In college he studied arts and drama as he loved acting and music. He had always dreamed to be an actor as this made him forget the hard times he was experiencing. After college Arnold joined a local drama group and performed in local hotels. The money he earned was very little and with pressure from his parents to assist them he couldnââ¬â¢t manage. Arnold decided to try his luck in Los Angles where he went. Life here become very difficult has he could not get a breakthrough to the movies where he really wanted to be. He was forced to do odd jobs to make ends meet. Two years later at thirty he got a chance to play a small role in a movie that was being shot in Los angles. The producer of the movie was so much impressed with his acting, and promised to give him a bigger role in a movie he was producing next. Soon Arnold was being sought by many film producers and he became a house hold name. It was with a big surprise when Arnold announced that he was quitting acting and the big screen and he is joining the Republican Party and that he was going to contest the New York seat as a senator. Every body thought what a joke an actor being a senator! But then Arnold did his home work nicely and beat his other contenders and he his now Senator Arnold Sorio. The senator is married to a former model Miss Brittney and has two beautiful daughters. These two senators have a different background and are in opposite political parties. They have different perspective of looking at national issues. Take war in Iraq, Senator Barrack believes that this war should not have happened, that American need to pull out its troops as soon as possible, as the war is draining the country resources both financial and in terms of personnel. He also reasons that this war seems not to have an end as the Iraqis themselves are not taking the initiative to end the war. The senator also agues that the foreign polices of America should change has they have created more enmity than friendship. On the contrary Senator Arnold beliefs that the war was good for American has it removed a dictator from power. He argues that only change of regime was needed and nothing else. He also points out that American has a responsibility to bring order in Iraq and therefore the troops should stay in Iraq until order is restored. As for the resources being incurred he argues that democracy has a very big price and sacrifices must be made to gain it. When it comes to tax, Senator Barrack has a view that low income earners should be exempted from paying tax or be given tax relieves. He believes that the poor are taxed more than the rich and argue that the government should take decisive tax measures. In this way he predicts the economy will grow faster as more money will be left to the people who will then invest it. He also points out that, the living standard has shot up and yet more tax is paid; instead he proposes that the burden of tax should be reduced. On the other hand, Senator Arnold opposes the move saying that the government needs more revenue to provide services to the public. Therefore, he points out that tax relieves should not be there and instead more tax should be paid. He argues out that, for economy to grow better infrastructures and social amenities must be put in place and the government requires funds to build these infrastructures. The senator states that, good governments can only operate well when they have resources and those resources come from the people. He lastly argues that tax relieve should not be there as money that government collect in form of taxes goes back to the public in form of better services. How to cite The Harvard University, Papers

Business Law Report for Occupational Health - myassignmenthelp
Question: Write about theBusiness Law Report for Occupational Health. Answer: Introduction. The purpose of this report is to critically analyze offshoring and on-shoring with regard to the Australian laws and foreign laws. These two terms are not term of law but they can be connected to laws in their fully capacity. Therefore, the report will consider occupation health and safety as well as anti-discrimination and equal opportunities in offshoring and on-shoring both located in Australian. That is why this paper will apply the Australian laws and any other relevant foreign laws for that matter. For the purpose of this report, concrete knowledge on offshoring and on-shoring need to be redefined. Both offshoring and on-shoring refers to methods of outsourcing. Typically, outsourcing means a situation where a company contract part of its tasks to an external company (Maslow 2013). With that said and done, on-shoring can be defined or typically refers to the relocation of industry processes to a location involving lower costs within the national boundaries of a particular count ry. For this paper, on-shoring will be within the boundaries of Australia. On the other hand, offshoring can be defined broadly as outsourcing that is purely done across national borders. That is, a distant location is preferred for that matter. Occupational health and safety. This section will consider various aspects such as law and theories concerning offshoring and on-shoring, case study or court cases, then the mere comparison of offshoring and on-shoring, the most appropriate area of development as well as location of offshoring and on-shoring. This will help this report to analyze anti-discrimination and equal opportunities in similar capacity. Law and theories. Law is very important to a society. Law typically mean the rules and regulations that have been set by the government so as to government the people through the customs and judicial process to as to promote peaceful coexistence among the citizen (McGregor 2012). This definition fall under business law as well where investors and business fraternity follow certain rules and regulations in order to promote proper grounds in the field of business among the business people. For this report, this will involve both offshoring and on-shoring. The law on occupational health and safety is referred to as OHSA law in Australian laws. The Australian law state that the OSH Act involves employers. In that case, employers are purely responsible in provision of safe and healthful workplace. For the case of offshoring and on-shoring, the law will ensure safe and healthful workplace settings and standards are fully enforced. Ant training, assistance, education as well as outreach in offshoring and on- shoring need to be provided by the employer as stated in the Australian law. The theory involved here is the Accident theory. The law is very clear on that. The theory connects safety and productivity. This implies that the business of offshoring and on-shoring need to identify the possible risks and entropy model of accidents. Both entropy and residual risk need to be identified and reduced. Any possibility of degradation of offshoring and on-shoring business systems need to be reduced. Again, the inherent danger in the entire activities of the organization need to be reduced as stated in the OSH Act of Australian law. Case study or court case. A case study refers typically as a previous scenario in law that can be used to compare aspects in the legal law. Decision can be made based on precedents. A court case as well involves a previous case that had been presented a decision can be as well be made from the court case. According to the Australian case studies all the case studies are used for reference to other cases at stake. There is a particular case law interpretation in Australia regarding the occupational health and safety. The case study Milat v The Queen (2004) HCA 17, R v Gilmore (1977) 2 NSWLR 934N can be interpreted as follows. The criminal matter is the Queen while the accused is Gilmore. This particular case was reported in 1977 and indicates part of the NSW law report series. In addition, the case is found in volume 2 and usually started on page 935. The case study can be used similarly to solve case in offshoring and on-shoring. Offshores and onshore comparison. Both on-shoring and offshoring are the commonly used methods of outsourcing. Typically, outsourcing means a situation where a company contract part of its tasks to an external company (Thomas 2009). With that said and done, on-shoring can be defined or typically refers to the relocation of industry processes to a location involving lower costs within the national boundaries of a particular country. For this paper, on-shoring will be within the boundaries of Australia. On the other hand, offshoring can be defined broadly as outsourcing that is purely done across national borders (Ryan Deci 2017). That is, a distant location is preferred for that matter. Typically, offshoring involves the relocation of industry or business processes to the preferred cheaper location in a different country. This will be involving outsourcing activities of a company as well as setting up a subsidiary in another country. Area for developing offshoring and on-shoring. The choice of area for offshoring can be all the areas outside Australia that are recommended in the Australian law. This is possible provided the outsourcing procedures involved in offshoring business system lowers the cost of operation outside the boarders of Australia. However, the area of the development must be governed by Australian law together with the relevant foreign laws that correspond with the area of offshoring (Marylene 2014). The area for developing the on-shoring must be located in Australia since it involves outsourcing within the borders of Australia. However, the area of choice must lower the cost of operations for the business. According to Australian and foreign law, on-shoring will benefit the business if done within the borders of Australia. This area must adhere to the rules and regulations of Australia on occupation and safety. On-shoring and offshoring compared by a case. On-shoring. The case on on-shoring is based on a case within the borders of Australia because the business operations takes place within the boards of Australia. Hence, the comparison between on-shoring and offshoring with regard to occupational health and safety is governed by Australian law and any relevant foreign law for the case of offshoring. Considering the case of Blomley v Ryan (1956) 99 CLR 362, both the plaintiff and the defendant were citizen of Australia involve in civil case of on-shore outsourcing. In this case, the plaintiff was Blomley who brought the course of action about the on-shore outsourcing. Ryan was the defendant who was resisting the course of action (Lambsdorff 2012). This case was reported in 1956 and fall under the category of commonwealth law report series under volume 99. The judgment of this case started at page 362 where Ryan was found guilty of illegal on-shoring. This case was determined within the boundaries if Australia. Offshoring. The jurisdictions of cases involving the offshoring are bound to the Australian legal law and the foreign law involved in a particular case unlike in on-shoring. Considering the case of Gilmore v, The Queen (1977) 2 NSWLR 935, the criminal matter was the queen while the accused was Gilmore. This case was reported in1977 and indicates that it was part of NSW law report series. Moreover, the case was found in volume and usually commence at page 935 (Richard 2013). Gilmore was from Australia while The Queen originated from the USA. Therefore, the ruling on this case must consider both the Australian law and the USA law before making the judgment. In this case The Queen was found guilty of offshoring claims that involved illegal business transactions. Anti-discrimination and equal opportunities. Laws and theories. The law relating to anti-discrimination and equal opportunities is called equity law. The Australian law of equity ensures that all parties are offered equal chances as far as on-shoring and offshoring are concerned. Anybody who denies other that equal opportunity is deemed to have committed a tort. A tort is simply a civil wrong (Lambsdorff 2011). The law states that law is equality. The main theory in this particular area is called proportionality theory. It asserts that all business people have opportunities to venture in business in proportionate rates. Therefore, as far as antidiscrimination and equal opportunities are concerned, the Australian law of equity and theory of proportionality take effect. Case study or court case. A case study that can be brought forward concerning anti-discrimination and equal opportunities in regard to offshoring and on-shoring can be found in both criminal and civil case study. The case study will rule in favor of anti-discrimination and equal opportunities. Offshore and on-shore comparison. There is no much difference between offshoring and on-shoring in anti-discrimination and equal opportunities from occupation health and safety. In this case, the law of contract assert that a contract deems valid when there is an offer and acceptance of the offer (Stiglitz Joseph 2003). Therefore, offshoring will involve outsourcing business activities outside Australia at a lower cost while on-shoring will involve outsourcing of business activities within Australia. However, before this is achieved, the law need to provide equal chances on both offshoring and on-shoring to the individual contractors. In case of any legal action both Australian law and foreign law will be considered without discriminating any law. Area of development. The area of development for on-shoring should be based in Australia. Under this section, the area should be in marginalized areas where the on-shoring had not been done due to discrimination. For offshoring, the area of development should be outside Australia. This area should be in developing countries that have been discriminated before. On-shoring and offshoring compared by a case. On-shoring. Ryan was the defendant who was resisting the course of action (Kanungo Manuel 2014). This case was reported in 1956 and fall under the category of commonwealth law report series under volume 99. Offshoring. The jurisdictions of cases involving the offshoring are bound to the Australian legal law and the foreign law involved in a particular case unlike in on-shoring (Arnold 2010). Considering the case of Gilmore v, The Queen (1977) 2 NSWLR 935, the criminal matter was the queen while the accused was Gilmore. Conclusion. In conclusion, offshoring involves the relocation of industry or business processes to the preferred cheaper location in a different country. This will be involving outsourcing activities of a company as well as setting up a subsidiary in another country. The Australian law has critically analyzed this by looking into details the occupation health and safety as well as anti-discrimination and equal opportunities. References. The Downfall of Macbeth Essay Example For Students
The Downfall of Macbeth Essay Is everyone defeated or brought down from power at some time? Often, in a tragedy or drama, the main hero experiences a downfall. However, just as the downfall of a tragic hero varies, so do the causes of this downfall. Throughout the play Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, many factors contributed to the downfall of Macbeth such as fate, errors in his judgment, and the main factor being flaws in his character. Among the causes of Macbeths fall from power and grace, fate was the least important and influential. However, fate did have quite an impact on why Macbeth was brought down. For instance, Macbeth relied too heavily upon the prophecies of the Werd Sisters, and took everything they said for granted. When the Werd Sisters would give Macbeth their different predictions for what would happen, he would believe them and would take no actions of his own to ensure his own safety or well-being. Macbeth believed that what was predicted would happen and he would be prosperous and safe as king without any effort on his part. He also relied completely on the witches to tell him of his future. This specific point was illustrated when he said, Stay you imperfect speakers. Tell me more (I, iii, l. 73). Yet another example of how Macbeth heavily relied on fate was when he was visited with the visions of the armed head, the bloody child, and the crowned child with a tree in hand. Macbeth took the sayin gs of the three apparitions to heart and did not worry about his safety due to their predictions. He went through the rest of the play not afraid of any man due to what the second apparition, the bloody child, told him. This apparition said to Macbeth, The power of man, for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth (IV, i, ll. 91-92). Both these reliances by Macbeth on fate caused him not to worry about anything and not to prepare for his safety, which came back to get him and led to his fall from grace and his death. The second most influential factor on the downfall of Macbeth in this tragedy involves his many errors in judgment. Among his many errors in judgment, one of them is Macbeths unnecessary murder of quite a few individuals. In doing so, Macbeth may have gotten rid of his foe at that moment in time, but he also lost many allies and created many enemies who vowed revenge. Throughout the killing spree of Macbeth, he made enough enemies that they combined forces and were able to defeat the tyrant Macbeth in the end. This flaw was illustrated when all the armies of Macbeths many foes came together at Birnam Wood (V, iv, l. 5). It was there that all the armies teamed up and went on the march to defeat the king Macbeth. Macbeth unnecessarily killed many different individuals through the play. First, Macbeth had the kind king Duncan done away with. This was in order for Macbeth to fulfill the prophecy of himself becoming king, and was for his selfish needs. However, Duncan was good to Macbeth, in naming him Thane of Cawdor, and showed how inhumane and cold he was. Also, Macbeth has Banquo, who was once his best friend and closest ally, killed. Macbeth becomes slightly fearful of Banquo, so decides to kill him. Macbeth often resorts to this method of killing whomever he is threatened by, and it does him no good. Macbeth shows his fear of Banquo, when in talking about him, he states There is none but he whos being I do fear (III, i, ll. 59-60). Finally, Macbeth does away with the family of Macduff. This is a huge mistake on the part of Macbeth, because in doing so, he awoke an enormous rage within Macduff. Macduff then swore never to rest until he had taken his revenge upon Macbeth, and Macduff does, in turn, be the one to kill Macbeth in the end. Macbeths downfall can also be attributed to many unnecessary killings which enraged many and caused them to team up against him in the end. The third, and most influential, cause of Macbeths downfall can be attributed to his many flaws in character. One major flaw that Macbeth possessed was his weak and easily controlled personality. Through the novel a constant pattern of being controlled by women came about. This happened on quite a number of occasions and centered on the Werd Sisters and his very own Lady Macbeth. With the witches, Macbeth lost all control over his own actions and just did whatever he could in order to fulfill the prophecies of the witches. He let them tell him whatever should and would happen, and he believed that it was the right thing to do. For instance, when the witches stated that he shall become king, he decided to kill both Duncan and Malcolm in order to become king, even though neither man was his foe. His feelings are well illustrated when he states, The Prince of Cumberland! That is a stepin my way it lieslet not light see my black and deep desires (I, iv, ll. 55-58). This also reveals another flaw in the character of Macbeth. This shows how whenever Macbeth was faced with a problem or an obstacle, he decided to kill whomever was the cause and he believed that this would solve all of his problems. Even though it may have worked in order to promote him to king, it presented many more problems. Killing everyone he didnt get along with was a major flaw of Macbeth and caused many to be enraged toward him and take their revenge. Yet another example of Macbeth being controlled by women has to deal with the subject of unneeded killings as well. Even though Macbeth had been contemplating killing Duncan in order to gain the seat of the throne, he began to have second thoughts. Had he gone on his own feelings, he may have held back from killing Duncan and had been successful at the high post of Thane of Cawdor. However, the diabolical Lady Macbeth proceeded to call her husband a coward and told him to cast his fears aside and go with his plan. This led Macbeth to go on and kill Duncan, which was just the first step in his long killing spree. All of these are many of the flaws amongst the character of Macbeth which caused him to make many decisions and behave in ways that were the major contribution to this tragic heros downfall. Macbeth had many factors which contributed to his downfall ranging from fate, to errors in judgment, to especially his many flaws in character. Every heros reign has to come to an end, but Macbeth managed to bring the end along much more rapidly due to his many mistakes and bad qualities. Through the play, I found Macbeth to be a very close-minded and stubborn individual who does not change his ways. Up until the end of the play, Macbeth still believed in the witches prophecies and in the sayings of the three apparitions. So, obviously, Macbeth did not change his attitude. Also, Macbeth never prepared for battle in the end and tried to win on his own. All of these factors show that Macbeth did not, in fact, gain any measure of wisdom or self-awareness, but remained the cocky, self-confident man he always was. .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 , .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .postImageUrl , .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 , .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893:hover , .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893:visited , .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893:active { border:0!important; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893:active , .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893 .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uf5257d4e065d20faeaeaed304dc6e893:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Conflict in The Most Dangerous Game Essay We will write a custom essay on The Downfall of Macbeth specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now

Shaelins NaNoWriMo Story Preptober Special
Shaelins NaNoWriMo Story Preptober Special Shaelin's NaNoWriMo Story: Preptober Special Shaelin Bishop is a writer, YouTuber, and a member of the team here at Reedsy. Sheââ¬â¢s also a veteran of the 30-day novelà writing competition NaNoWriMo, having taken part in it for five years. In this lightly edited transcript of her video, she reveals her personal experience with the competition. Reedsy's @shaelinbishop shares her experience as a 5-time #NaNoWriMo winner At the time this is published, it's near the end of October. If you're doing NaNoWriMo, you're probably pretty ready to go and haveà done most of the prep or all the prep you wanted to do.Unless you followed me on my personal channel way back when I was doing NaNoWriMo (which was a very long time ago), you won't have heard me talk about my own writing journey. With November just around the corner, I thought it would be a good opportunity to share my NaNoWriMo journey and just talk about the benefits it had for me and how it shaped me as a writer.I did NaNoWriMo five times: every single year I was in high school starting in 2010 when I was 13 years old. I saw the term float around on random social media. I looked it up, and as soon as I realized what NaNoWriMo was, I was like, "That sounds awesome. I want to try doing that."At the time I was writing a novel. Instead of waiting until next year (because when you're 13 that seems so far away), I made an account, and I signed up. I was using the Young Writers Programme where you can set your own word goal. I just set my own word goal for 15,000, and I did NaNoWriMo for like one week and that was my first NaNoWriMo experience. Finishing my first bookWhat has your experience with NaNoWriMo been like? If you have any questions for Shaelin, or thoughts on this annual competition, drop them in the comments below.

A Journal opinion article Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
A Journal opinion article - Essay Example Despite the promise to cut debts by half, Federal debts has gone up by 52% reaching $16.2 trillion a thing unheard of in the US. In the year 2007 US underwent the worst recession since the great depression that robbed that saw stocks hitting their bottom just before 2009. This changed after January 2009 when Dow Jones Average went up 70%, Standard & Poor 500 index went up 81 %, and NASDAQ complex index went up 119% (Jackson web). The levels of unemployment stood at 7.8% as they are as at September 2012. Although millions lost jobs immediately, Obama took oath the government has managed to pull the economy to the position of absorbing the same and providing extra jobs. Just before the recession, the level of unemployment had gone down to less that 5% only to rise in 2009 to as high as 10% (Jackson web). The poor state of the economy prevented the level from falling again and it took nearly two years to lower the level even by a small margin. However, the economy has slowly regained mo st of the lost jobs and predictions promise more jobs in the next coming months. The level of unemployed Americans is 12.1 million, which is the lowest since January 2009. A drop from 8.1% to 7.8% before the elections gave Obama a positive boot to winning the elections just a month away (Jackson web). Although some sectors like manufacturing has lost many jobs and some critics use it to bring the government down and to prove that no progress has taken place at all. Some even suggest that the government have skewed numbers to aid Obama re-election into government. The bureau of statistics has come out to confirm that really some jobs have been created and that the economy is actually moving forward. However, several other indicators suggest otherwise and confirm a slow growth of the economy. For instance, the US treasury, note went up by a small percentage depicting that investors are now willing to shift their investments from bonds to stocks. In fact, the prices of some stocks have gone up by a significant percentage with Dow Jones industrial average going up. Less income to families and increased poverty levels is another challenge blamed on Obama government. It is true that many families have suffered financially in the past few years and the poverty levels have gone up. In fact, household income and family income declined by a significant percentage or stagnated to some. Due to high levels of unemployment, the number of Americans living below the poverty line went up and was at 46.2 million in the year 2011. This is a rise from 46.3% in the year 2010 (Jackson web). In addition, food supplemental aid increased from increasing poverty levels. However, due to recession that occurred in the year 2007, household incomes were already declining or stagnant when Obama took office in 2009. The good news is that with the declining levels of unemployment, household income and family income will soon report an increase. Obamaââ¬â¢s government has been blamed for ri sing fuel prices, which has doubled since he took over government. To be precise, the price was at $1.85 by end of January 2009 but at October 2012, this figure has gob has gone up to $3.8 (Jackson web). Although the prices of oil remain up, oil imports have gone down with a significant amount. In addition, dependence on oil has gone down with the country turning to other better sources like wind power and
